Eat Local Lincoln is a community food project built on a simple idea: eating what's grown nearby, in season, is better for you, better for your wallet and better for the planet.
Every month, we bring together the vegetables and fruit in season in the area around Lincoln with simple, healthy recipes that any family can cook — guided by the Planetary Health Diet, the EAT-Lancet Commission's evidence-based framework for sustainable eating.
We are not asking anyone to go vegan. We are simply saying that eating more plants, more of the time, using what is grown locally and in season, is one of the most powerful things any of us can do for our health and for the health of the planet.
